About

Margison Brothers Printers is Victoria's oldest surviving printing company. Founded in 1907 by three brothers, John, Arthur and Oswald Margison, all seasoned pressmen and typesetters. The company has faithfully served Victorian's through two World Wars, the stock market crash of 1929 and the Great Depression. The company has prospered the last 100 years as a result of the owners passion for creating quality printed products and commitment to great customer service.

The spirit of the Margison brothers lives on in the company today. Partners Al Bolhuis and Dan Dagg (although not brothers) are none-the-less committed to providing a superior printed product. They do it by melding the best printing techniques and methods of both the past and the present - from lead to laser, so to speak.

Al has worked in the printing industry for over twenty years and knows how to print just about anything. Dan, on the other hand, is a marketing and advertising veteran of fifteen years, supervising the development and execution of countless marketing-communications programs. Together with the team of Jerry Ballendine (a dedicated pressman for over forty years); Bob Colebrook (designer, art assemby and pre-press maven); and Gail Harris, who spent many years in the City of Victoria print shop; the team at Margison is about as good as it gets.

Margison Brothers is well equipped to provide a complete range of print services. From short run digital copies and cards, hand set letter press work, scoring, embossing, whatever you need, Margison can deliver it…hand crafted, on time and on budget.

Margison Brothers is conveniently located at the foot of the Bay Street bridge and is also fully networked with an FTP site for easy file transfer…saving both time and money.
